Network Diagrams,
Designed by AI
The only diagram tool that maps connections port by port. Click a source port, click a destination port, hit Tidy Links — your diagram is auto-routed with clean, orthogonal lines. No drag, no manual cleanup.
Visio + Excel spreadsheet
DrawNet.ai
The problem with network documentation
Today's workflow
- Draw a logical diagram in Visio or draw.io
- Maintain a separate Excel for port-to-port patching
- Diagram and spreadsheet are never in sync
- New hire? Good luck finding which port goes where
With DrawNet.ai
- Switches display every physical port
- Connect port 3 of Switch A to port 12 of Switch B
- Diagram is the patching documentation
- One source of truth — always up to date
See it in 30 seconds
From empty canvas to port-level diagram with Tidy Links auto-routing — in less time than it takes to open Visio.
How it works
Four clicks. No drag-to-route, no manual line bending, no cleanup. DrawNet does the layout for you.
Drop devices
Drag switches, routers, servers, firewalls onto the canvas. Each device shows its real ports.
Click source port
Click any port on the source device. No menus, no dialogs — just click the bornier you want to connect from.
Click destination port
Click the target port on the destination device. The link is instantly created with exact port numbers.
Hit Tidy Links
One click and DrawNet auto-routes every cable: orthogonal paths, no overlaps, no crossings through devices. Clean diagram, every time.
Everything you need
A professional-grade network diagram tool, right in your browser.
Port-Level Precision
Connect devices port by port — see exactly which port links where. Set any port count, rename ports (WAN, LAN1…), assign IPs, and mark SFP fiber uplinks. No more separate Excel spreadsheets for switch patching.
AI Generation
Describe your network in plain text and let AI build the diagram for you in seconds.
Drag & Drop
Intuitive canvas editor — place devices, draw connections, and rearrange freely.
One-Click Tidy Links
Click a source port, click a target port, hit Tidy Links. Every cable is auto-routed: orthogonal paths, no overlaps, no crossings through devices. Clean diagram, every time.
Multi-Export
Export to PNG, SVG, PDF, or Visio-compatible format with a single click.

Perfect for small & mid-size networks
DrawNet.ai shines where every cable matters — networks with 5 to 50 devices where you need to know exactly which port connects where.
Maritime & Vessels
Document bridge networks, engine room switches, and CCTV links on ships and yachts. Every RJ45 drop mapped for crew handover and maintenance.
Learn more →Factories & Industrial
Map industrial switches (Moxa, Hirschmann), PLCs, IP cameras, and SCADA links. Technicians find the right port in seconds, not hours.
Learn more →Offices & SMBs
Two switches, a firewall, a NAS, a few printers — the perfect scale for port-level diagrams. Onboard new IT staff instantly.
Learn more →Data Centres & Server Rooms
Racks with their real ports, a room plan with hot and cold aisles, power feeds, cable lengths and labels — all from the same devices.
Learn more →Smart Buildings
Document KNX gateways, PoE cameras, WiFi access points, and home automation. Know exactly what is plugged where.
Hospitals & Clinics
Critical networks where every port matters. Trace medical devices, nurse call systems, and patient monitors to the exact switch port.

Why teams choose DrawNet.ai for network documentation
Traditional diagram tools like Visio or draw.io treat switches as simple icons — you can't see which physical port connects where. That's why IT teams end up maintaining a separate Excel spreadsheet for port patching, which is never in sync with the diagram.DrawNet.ai solves this by displaying every physical port on each device. When you connect Switch A port 3 to Switch B port 12, that information lives directly on the diagram. One source of truth for your network topology and your patching documentation.
This matters most for small and mid-size networks — offices, factories, ships, clinics, schools — where a technician needs to trace a cable back to the exact switch port without climbing into a rack. Whether you manage an office with 3 switches or a vessel with 20 industrial Moxa switches, DrawNet.ai gives you a single document that replaces both your Visio diagram and your Excel patching sheet. Describe your network in plain English and let AI build the diagram, or drag and drop devices manually. Export to PNG, SVG, PDF, or Visio — free for personal use, no account needed.

Visio requires a Microsoft 365 subscription ($13+/mo) and its connector snapping system can be frustrating when trying to keep links straight and anchored to the right point. draw.io is free and excellent for general-purpose diagrams but has no network-specific features. DrawNet is purpose-built for network documentation with port-level precision and automatic link routing. One caveat on the offline row: drawing, editing, saving and exporting all work without a connection, but Tidy Links runs on our server and needs one.

Why is DrawNet free?
"If it's free, you're the product" — not here.
You are not the product. We don't collect your data, we don't sell it, we don't track your diagrams. DrawNet is free for personal use, learning and nonprofits — the whole tool, forever. Companies that use it for paid work buy a licence, on the honour system: no account, nothing locked or held back. The editor mentions it once, on a diagram that has outgrown personal use, and never again.
We're a company based in Paris, France — CYZEA SAS, registered since March 2021 and trading ever since. We originally built DrawNet for our own network documentation needs. It solved our problem so well that we decided to share it with the community.
Being hosted in France means we operate under EU data protection laws (GDPR) — among the strictest in the world. And if you've ever heard of French tax rates, you'll know we're not exactly in the business of cutting corners to make a quick profit.
What DrawNet becomes next is decided by real-world feedback from network engineers, IT teams, and technicians. Your usage, your frustrations, and your feature requests are what shape the tool.
That licence is what keeps the free version whole: no cut-down tier, no feature behind a paywall, and no reason for your diagrams to ever leave your browser. If DrawNet earns its place in your company's toolbox, that is how it gets paid for.
